Sudanese Community Center
Who we are
The Sudanese Community Center is a non-profit social and cultural initiative founded by a group of social activists who are asylum seekers in Israel and is dedicated to assisting the Sudanese and African refugees community in Israel.
The needs
The majority of the Sudanese community members find themselves, often out of necessity, working long hours, in physically demanding jobs, under extremely poor working conditions, and are subjected to economic exploitation as cheap labor.
In addition, The Sudanese community in Israel have endured many hardships before and after their arrival in the country creating a significant psychological distress and trauma faced by the community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advocate for the refugee community rights and provide comprehensive support including social services, psychological counseling, legal aid, educational opportunities and help with bureaucratic processes. We are committed to an inclusive and secure environment for all refugees and asylum seekers, irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, or geographical origin.
Our Work
Our organization offers vital support to asylum seekers, including welfare services, trauma counseling, and legal aid. We nurture our cultural heritage and empower our community to contribute positively to society. Our community-led approach ensures personal development and stability for our members.
